Firefighter Steve Worden fits real fire helmets to members of Boy Scouts from Troop 1128 on the hay bales that will be the Pumpkin Patch. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Dearborn Firefighters Burn Drive and the event continues till Oct. 24.

 A Bierlein excavator demolishes the section of the Dearborn Historical Museum attached to the closed Quality Inn Monday. The Museum Annex was used to show historical objects and host visitors.

 James Buchanan stands with his 24-year-old mare “Nagie” at the Buffalo Soldiers Heritage Center in Rouge Park last October. He opened the center last year that is home to 15 horses, a donkey named Eddie Murphy, and an exhibit center dedicated to the Buffalo Soldiers who were regiments of African American men that served in the United States military from the late-1800s to the mid-1900s.
