Dearborn firefighters work with people injured in a multiple-vehicle crash Monday that involved a head-on collision on Ford Road near the Southfield Freeway.

Volunteer mock victims appeared on campus Aug. 9 at the University of Michigan-Dearborn in a drill involving several facilities of Oakwood Hospital, the city of Dearborn and the college. The exercise simulated an explosion at the university’s Science Building that left numerous people injured and dead, and was designed to test the joint preparedness of the three organizations in the event of a catastrophe.Volunteer Darlene Scarcelli jokes about fake blood dye that most victims wore until they were hosed down.
