Dearborn police officers gather evidence March 15 after an armed robbery and homicide at Sunrise Beauty Supply near Schaefer Road and Michigan Avenue. At this point it appears the suspects were after women's hair weaves. There were reportedly 80 of them missing from the store's inventory and each one costs as much as $135, police said. Two teenagers have been charged.

Evelyn DeGuire, a DuVall Elementary student, and dad Mike wait for a meeting to begin Monday night called by elected officials to protest Governor Rick Snyder’s proposed cuts to education. The rally, held at Edsel Ford High School, was held to protest Dearborn’s schools proposed loss of $5 million in 31a money used for programs to help at-risk students.
